I am a Law Enforcement Instructor. I began my career in Corrections in 1984 as a Correctional Officer for our new Maximum Security unit Of the Arkansas Department of Correction. I remember the first day that I walked into the prison in my new uniform. I was scared to death. I was thinking what in the world have I gotten myself into. Do I really need to eat bad enough to go to work in a prison? Well I sucked it up and walked on in. After a year I transfered to our intake unit and my career took off from there. As I said, I began as a basic Correctional Officer. Some of the other positions I have held have been; Mail Man, Armorer, K-9 Narcotics officer. Training Officer, Training instructor at our Corrections Law Enforcement Academy, Project Management Analyst (over saw operations of a private prison), Master Firearms Instructor trainer, CPR Instructor Trainer, Chemical Agents Instructor Trainer etc., etc.

Well here it is 23 years later and I made a change to Arkansas' other Corrections department (Arkansas Department of Community Correction). I needed a change and this has been a great one. I once again look forward to going to work in the morning. I am working as a Law Enforcement Instructor at our ADCC Training Academy and as you may be able to tell.....I LOVE MY JOB.
